Information

We alert our institutional clients about possible cases in Europe and the U.S. Through our portfolio monitoring service, we inform our clients about their possible losses and about the status of each case in which they have suffered losses.

Whenever there is a possible case involving small (retail) investors, we highlight the case through this web site. Investors can register through the registration form on this web site.

 

Advice

Deminor always carries out an in-depth study of each particular case before recommending its clients to take any specific action. Deminor's advice integrates both legal and financial analysis which are essential to any securities litigation case. Through the combination of legal and financial analysis, Deminor is able to build a case from scratch and develop arguments that can be used in court by outside legal counsels.

 

Execution

Whenever there is a good case and provided it is supported by a representative group of investors, Deminor will propose a mandate to its clients. In case of a possible U.S. action, Deminor may refer its clients to U.S. based attorneys with the view of filing as lead plaintiff in a U.S. securities class action or filing a U.S. direct action. For U.S. actions, Deminor has set up a privileged relationship with the U.S. law firm Spector, Roseman, Kodroff & Willis P.C.. In case of a European action, Deminor will remain fully in charge of the case. It will coordinate the action, organise the administrative back-office work, work with external litigation lawyers to build the court case and reply to the defendants' arguments, communicate with all parties involved, with supervisory authorities, the press, and any third party. Deminor will also discuss and negotiate any settlement on behalf of its clients. In short, Deminor will manage the entire litigation process on behalf of its clients.

 

In case of a U.S. action, Deminor will remain in close contact with its clients and with the U.S. lead counsel. Deminor may take up consulting assignments on behalf of the lead plaintiffs and the lead counsels in the framework of the U.S. case, typically when the case involves a European action and aspects of European law or corporate governance require specialist research or analysis from a local consultant.

 

Claims handling regarding U.S. settlements

More in particular, whenever monies are available to Deminor's clients under a U.S. settlement, Deminor will help its clients to recover the monies to which they are entitled. Deminor has set up a collaboration with London based Institutional Protection Services Ltd (IPS) for claims handling and administration. IPS has developed a d-base and software allowing clients to fully outsource the claims handling work.
