About
Erik Bomans is the Chief Executive Officer of Deminor and the Executive Director responsible for the firm’s Commercial Litigation Funding activities. He joined Deminor in 1995 and became a partner in 1999.
Erik began his legal career at the Brussels office of Linklaters, where he trained as a lawyer and qualified in 1995. Since joining Deminor, he has played a key role in the development of the firm’s litigation funding activities.
He is a frequent speaker at international conferences on litigation funding and dispute finance and has published research on the evolution of the litigation funding market. In 2025, Erik was invited to join the Board of Directors of the International Legal Finance Association (ILFA). He has been recognised as a leading practitioner in the field by Who’s Who Legal and Lawdragon, and is also ranked by Chambers and Partners.
