About
Tim Willing joined Deminor in April 2023 and is the head of our antitrust department. Besides antitrust damages claims across Europe and the UK, he focuses on funding opportunities within the DACH region. He is involved in the assessment and management of funded cases ranging from antitrust damages claims and commercial disputes to securities litigation, and European arbitration cases. Before joining Deminor, Tim worked at international law firms in Germany, advising clients on litigation matters, with an emphasis on cartel damages and securities litigation. He studied at the University of Münster and completed his legal training at the Higher Regional Court in Hamburg. Tim is admitted to the bar in Germany and holds a law degree from the University of Cape Town.
Main tasks
- Legal analysis of German litigation funding, antitrust, and recovery cases.
- Managing European antitrust cases.
- Client relations with German-speaking European countries.
Previous work experience
- Attorney at Law (“Rechtsanwalt”) with Quinn Emanuel Urquhardt & Sullivan LLP, Litigation department with focus on cartel damages claims and complex commercial litigation, Hamburg (2018-2023).
- Experience working in the Litigation & Antitrust Departments of several other international law firms, such as Linklaters and White & Case.

- Bar Exam (“2. Staatsexamen”) with distinction, Higher Regional Court of Hamburg, Germany.
- State Exam (“1. Staatsexamen”) with distinction, Westfaelische Wilhelms-University Muenster, Germany.
- Master of Laws (LL.M.) with distinction, University of Cape Town, South Africa.
